Although Nagpur has developed to a modern city with all urban amenities, but the residents of Nagpur are nature lovers and have adopted various outdoor thrills during their pastime. Even many schools and colleges are encouraging their pupils to take part in adventure activities like mountain biking, trekking and cycling. Many adventure camps operate in the region, which offer different outdoor vocational courses which in turn makes students healthy and fit. These camps also offer action packed activities to anyone interested. Many tourists enroll themselves to enjoy the adventure tourism to its fullest. All these camps offer camping sites in proximity with nature, various escapades and proper gears to support treks. Various popular adventure tracks have been developed in the vicinity of Nagpur city and are easily accessible through motorable roads. The Ramtek-Chorbawli track which is around 50kms from the city, is located within the forest area with Khindsi backwaters flowing by the side of the trail. One can walk through the small local villages and get a glimpse of the beautiful countryside. There is a Singapore cherry farm on the way. Trekking and biking both can be enjoyed over here. The best part of this trail is the amazing bird watching experience beside the Khindsi Lake. Enthusiasts can trek up the Sindhura Hills which is adjacent to this lake.

Ariel view of the low lying valley from the hill top is blissful. One can visit the Maitraban - Boredam trail which is about 25kms from Nagpur city and is amidst a beautiful green nature. This trail is for the novices and beginners in the sport of trekking and is conveniently located mostly on plain land, lovely green pastures and paddy fields. Another challenging trekking trail preferably on an all terrain bicycle starts from Ramtek and runs through the Pench Tiger Reserve and Navegaon Khairi Dam goes till Paoni. During this journey one can witness the Gond Tribal villages and soak in their art and culture. Just at a distance of 50kms from Nagpur city, this trek starts.

The rugged trails on the Brahmagiri Hills and the journey to the Iruppa Falls are a must for all nature lovers. There are popular camping sites at the banks of the Madikeri River, where people can stay in tents and do star gazing at night. For thrill, tourists can also enjoy white water rafting on River Kaveri. Those who are not into hardcore sports can enjoy a leisure afternoon by trying angling in Valanoor, which is the backwater of the River Kaveri.
