In Nagpur the history of the game dates back to 1981 with the establishment of The Nagpur District Football Association. This organization has 12 clubs associated with it. It has teams for different levels like First division 20 teams, Second division 35 teams, Women’s Groups – 16,School Division – 40, College Division – 18.

Just like the world famous English Premier League (EPL) Nagpur also started its in house event named as Nagpur Premier League in 2010. It is the only public trust which has more than 120 clubs affiliated with it. As the craze for football is increasing so is the need for accomplished trainers to teach football.

Another organization involved in tennis is Nagpur District Hard Court Tennis Association. Another popular tennis court existing within the city is located in the Gondwana club which was established in 1932. It has beautiful ambience as it is located in the lap of nature. Apart from these many schools and other institutes have there own tennis courts. Taking inspiration from stalwarts like Sania Mirza, Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupati many youngsters are willing to take up tennis as there full time career option.
